The wide-angle camera achieves a good ranking and is especially convincing in situations with less light. However, it is only average as a standard lens; a separate camera with a longer focal length would be more suitable. The super wide-angle module only pleases in a lot of light.
Wide angle (main camera) – 1.9/6.8 mm lens (35mm equivalent: 26

Our rating is based on 27 MP recordings, which scored higher than the 108 MP JPEGs in our lab test. In bright surroundings (5000 lux) the 27-MP JPEGs have a high resolution and very good fine details. However, they cannot catch up with the JPEGs made by the Samsung S21 with maximum resolution (64 MP) in bright light. When it gets dimmer (200 lux), the camera reproduces the structures less clearly and noise increases. This is repeated in the dark (5 lux). However, the overall losses remain within limits and are lower than those of Samsung's S21, for example. In the end, the Mi 11 is in the top ten of wide-angle cameras thanks to its good performance in low light. The quite high edge drop of the main camera's lens is noticed negatively.

The Mi 11's main camera is a dual zoom and offers a choice between 27 and 108 MP resolution. The 27 MP JPEGs are superior in quality, but do not reach the detail level of the wide-angle shots despite the same resolution. Furthermore, this camera draws the edges harder, and artifacts increase. Overall this normal focal length only belongs to the average, even though it still shoots decent photos in low light and in the dark.
Super wide angle – 2.2/2.1 mm lens

In high light, the ultra-wide-angle camera with an aperture of 2.4 works quite okay in its class. Although an unnecessarily aggressive image tuning is annoying, the detail drawing is on a decent level. The resolution drops significantly as the brightness decreases, and fine structures in particular are lost. When shooting in the dark, the resolution decreases further.
