Lenovo unfortunately squanders the potential of the 64MP main camera due to the clumsy readout of the sensor. This is compounded by the weak performance as a dual zoom. The super-wide-angle is good in a lot of light, but can only be used with restrictions in low light. There are better alternatives for photographers.
Wide angle (main camera) – 1.9/6.7 mm lens
(35mm equivalent: 25 mm), 64 MP sensor, JPEG with 64 or 16 MP
The Legion Phone Duel 2 also relies on a 64MP wide-angle camera that shoots at 16 or 64 MP. In total, the pictures with the maximum resolution win with Lenovo. In bright light, the quality falls short of expectations and does not come close to the imaging performance of the Samsung S21+ or Asus ROG Phone 5. One almost suspects that the smartphone first creates the image with 4 binning and then upscales it to 64 megapixels again. Most structures are rendered about as coarse as with 16MP. However, the Lenovo does not degrade as much as the Asus ROG Phone 5 in low light and thus scores points. Nevertheless, the fine details decrease in light twilight (200 lux). At night (5 lux), the pictures are pixelated and full of artifacts - at the latest here, the 16MP resolution is the better choice.

Even as a 2x digital zoom, the Lenovo shoots at 16MP or 64 MP resolution - our score is based on the former. The image quality, no matter at which resolution, is too low to be considered a serious option. Details decrease a lot, and are also partly alienated. If dual zoom, then only in a lot of light and with 64MP - here you get the better shots. The quality decreases too quickly with decreasing light. Super wide angle – 2.2/2.2 mm lens
(35mm equivalent: 16 mm), 16 MP sensor, JPEG with 16 MP
In high light (5000 lux), the super-wide-angle photos of the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 look good: The signal processing tunes the shots too crisp, but the detail level is good. With less light (200 Lux), the colors become paler, the fine detail decreases slightly, and the noise stays almost the same.
